OXYMORON
The Progressive Rockband from Austria
Our latest album "Monopoly" describes the eternal game between the rich and the poor in nine stations. A breathtaking video- and lightshow guides the stirring rockmusic of the band. Memories of Pink Floyd and Genesis come back. But as a modern band, we are following our own style with varied vocal passages, instrumental soli, sometimes harder, sometimes softer.
We could win well-known national and international artists to contribute to this album
At the moment we are busy producing our third album.

BANDBIOGRAPHY
Oxymoron was founded in year 2020, starting as studio project to produce the concept-album "Odyssey" written by Christoph Wolf. A second album, "Monopoly" followed in the year 2023. The songs raised interest of several known Austrian musicians, like Bernhard Welz (Jon Lord band, Don Airey & friends, live tour with Bruce Dickinson, ..), Robby Musenbichler (studio work with Jennifer Rush, Bonney M., Tokio, and several Austrian acts), Helmut Bibl (ex Falco band and other Austrian acts), Doka Kaitner (Don Airey, Jon Lord, ...), Frank Pané (Bonfire, Sainted Sinners). They made their contribution to this album.
The members of Oxymoron are experienced musicians who worked on stage and in studio over many years for different bands. They all share their passion to rock music and expecially progressive rockbands, like Genesis, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Eloy, Marillion, etc.. You can hear the influence of the 1970 & 1980 area, but nevertheless Oxymoron has found its own style, not just copying their role models-
The albums from Oxymoron cover mostly themes around social critisism. The songs from "Monopoly" lead in metaphocial manner through the stations of the well known board game. While at the start all players have the same conditions this soon transfers into inequality and in the end the winner takes all, while the rest lost everything. Then the game is over and requires a "great reset"
The live show of the band is guided by a powerful light- and videoanimation, supporting the content of the songs.
At the moment the band is busy on producing album nbr 3. Theme goes around the human being, who is capable of peak performance but still again and again succeeds to screw it up and turn it into huge catastrophies.
A new live show is planned once the studiowork is finalized
